Legendary southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd has announced the upcoming release of Celebrating 50 Years – Live At The Ryman – a live album and DVD commemorating their star-studded last show in 2022 with stalwart guitarist Gary Rossington (who passed the following year) in honor of their 50th-anniversary. The album is due on June 27.

The band posted on X: “Experience the soul-stirring moment when Jelly Roll joined us for an unforgettable performance of “Tuesday’s Gone.” We are excited to announce “Celebrating 50 Years – Live At The Ryman,” coming out on June 27. Lynyrd Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant said in an official statement: “We are so grateful to the devoted fans for their support throughout the years of transitions and losses. Last year, we lost the great Mr. Gary Rossington. We unknowingly were able to have captured his final performance with us. It’s bittersweet but what a special place to have had his final performance, the mothership of music – the Ryman Auditorium!”

Celebrating 50 Years: Live at the Ryman features new renditions of 15 classic Lynyrd Skynyrd songs, along with a special documentary bonus track. Rossington joined the band for “That Smell” and remained on stage until the concluding encore of “Freebird.” . Special guests on the album include Jelly Roll, Marcus King, John Osborne of The Brothers Osborne, Brent Smith of Shinedown, and Donnie Van Zant of Van Zant & .38 Special.

Additionally, the first single and music video, “Tuesday’s Gone” featuring Jelly Roll, is available – HERE.
