Cardi B‘s long-awaited sophomore album finally has a release date, with the rapper revealing that Am I The Drama? will drop on Sept. 19.

In her social media announcement, Cardi shares the album artwork – in which she sports a red bodysuit that wraps above her head, while crows fly behind her and one perches on her foot.  Cardi shared in a voiceover posted ahead of the official announcement: “Seven years of love, life and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell. I learned power is not given, it’s taken. I’m shedding feathers, and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. The time is here, the time is now.”

Cardi B recently dropped her first single of 2025, “Outside,” and also her first solo release since “Enough (Miami)” last year. Prior to the official release of “Outside,” Cardi performed the new song for the first time at the Spotify Beach at Cannes Lions in France last week.  Listen to ‘Outside’ – HERE.

Am I the Drama? marks Cardi’s first album in seven years and follows her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy, which went on to win the Grammy for best rap album in 2019 and went four-times platinum. That album featured her breakout single, “Bodak Yellow,” and the diamond-certified “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
