Tyler, the Creator just released his new project, DON’T TAP THE GLASS.
The artist posted on social media: “DONT TAP THE GLASS. ALBUM 9. AVAILABLE NOW. MADE FOR BODY MOVEMENT. FULL VOLUME. This album was not made for sitting still. Dancing, driving, running, any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it”
Released on Monday, the album’s cover art features the artist with an un-proportionally sized head and limbs sporting red pants, a large gold chain, glasses and a red hat that reads, “GLASS.” The rapper shared in an Instagram post: “I asked some friends why they don’t dance in public and some said because of the fear of being film. I thought, ‘Damn, a natural form of expression and a certain connection they have with music is now a ghost.’ It made me wonder how much of our human spirit got killed because of the fear of being a meme. All for having a good time.”
In conjunction with the album’s release, Tyler released a music video for the track, “Stop Playing with Me,” which features Pusha T, Malice and LeBron James. Check it out on: YouTube.
Tyler’s last full-length album, CHROMAKOPIA, dropped in late October 2024 and debuted at No. 1, with features from Daniel Caesar, Doechii, GloRilla, LaToiya Williams, Lil Wayne, Lola Young, Santigold, Schoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, Teezo Touchdown and Playboi Carti.
