Kenny Chesney, Wynonna Judd and Steve Earle join lineup for ‘Farm Aid 40’

Kenny Chesney, Wynonna Judd and Steve Earle have joined this year’s Farm Aid lineup, set for Sept. 20 at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Farm Aid, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, raises money to support family-owned farms. All artists donate their time to the initiative.

The group joins the previously announced lineup which includes Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young (and the Chrome Hearts), John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews (with Tim Reynolds), and Margo Price, as well as Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, Waxahatchee, Eric Burton of Black Pumas, Jesse Welles, Madeline Edwards and Wisdom Indian Dancers.

Jennifer Fahy, Co-Executive Director of Farm Aid, shares: “We’re excited to have Kenny Chesney back on the Farm Aid stage this year. He’s one of many artists who have returned to Farm Aid, generously donating their travel and performances to raise awareness about the family farmers who grow good food for all of us. Kenny’s appearance, along with the addition of music legends Wynonna Judd and Steve Earle, will make this an unforgettable anniversary event.”

According to the official website, Farm Aid has garnered $80 million since its launch “to promote a strong and resilient family farm system of agriculture. Farm Aid is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build a vibrant, family farm-centered system of agriculture in America.”
