‘SNL’ announces Bad Bunny, Amy Poehler and Sabrina Carpenter as first hosts to open Season 51

“Saturday Night Live” has announced the hosts and musical guests for the first three episodes to kick-off Season 51 of the long-running late night series.

Bad Bunny will serve as host for the season premiere on Oct. 4, joined by Doja Cat as musical guest; Amy Poehler will return to “SNL” on Oct. 11, with Role Model as the musical guest; and Sabrina Carpenter will pull double duty as both host and musical guest on Oct. 18.

The season premiere episode will mark Bad Bunny’s second time hosting “SNL.” He made his debut as musical guest in 2021, and serving as both host and musical guest in 2023. He was also the musical guest in the Season 50 finale hosted by Scarlett Johansson. Doja Cat is make her “SNL” debut as musical guests on 10/4.

Poehler, who was a “SNL” cast member for eight seasons (2001-2008), hosted “SNL” for the first time in 2010 (with Katy Perry as musical guest). She also co-hosted alongside Tina Fey in 2015 with Bruce Springsteen and The E-Street Band as musical guest. Poehler’s hosting duties on Oct. 11 will mark her second solo hosting stint. On that episode, Role Model will perform as musical guest for the first time. His song “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” recently hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay charts.

Sabrina Carpenter will make her hosting debut on “SNL” on Oct. 18. She previously appeared as musical guest for the Season 49 finale hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal.

‘SNL’ is broadcast live on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET (8:30 p.m. PT), and also streams live on Peacock.
