Gorillaz share their latest track “Damascus”

Gorillaz are gearing up for the release of their new album The Mountain, and to preview the project they have shared the song “Damascus,” a collaboration with Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey.

Damascus is the fourth track from the band’s upcoming ninth studio album, dropping February 27th on their new label, KONG. Written by Damon Albarn, Omar Souleyman, and Yasiin Bey and recorded in Damascus, London, Devon, Mumbai, and New York, “Damascus” features Syrian superstar of Bedouin music Omar Souleyman alongside rapper and singer Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def).  See the official visualizer – HERE.

The Mountain is comprised of a collection of 15 songs, and features artists and collaborators including: Ajay Prasanna, Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash, Anoushka Shankar, Asha Bhosle, Asha Puthli, Bizarrap, Black Thought, Gruff Rhys, Idles, Jalen Ngonda, Johnny Marr, Kara Jackson, Omar Souleyman, Paul Simonon, Sparks, Trueno and Yasiin Bey; as well as the voices of friends and collaborators including Bobby Womack, Dave Jolicoeur, Dennis Hopper, Mark E Smith, Proof and Tony Allen.

Gorillaz previously previewed the ‘The Mountain’ with the release of the first track from the album, “The Happy Dictator,” featuring Sparks. Check out the visualizer for ‘The Happy Dictator’ – HERE.

Gorillaz went on to release the second track from The Mountain titled “The Manifesto” (featuring Argentine rapper Trueno, as well as a freestyle from the late D12 member Proof).  See the visualizer for ‘The Manifesto” – HERE.

Additionally, Gorillaz will launch The Mountain Tour, which opens with two warm-up shows in Bradford on March 13-14 before kicking-off in Manchester on March 21, 2026, The trek will visit arenas across the UK and Ireland, with sold-out shows in Glasgow, Cardiff, Belfast, Dublin before concluding with a one-off show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20 with support from Sparks and Trueno.
