The Black Crowes have dropped a striking new music video for their latest single, “Profane Prophecy,” offering a bold preview of their upcoming album A Pound of Feathers, due out March 13.

Inspired by the provocative visual language of filmmaker Russ Meyer, the Los Angeles–shot video leans heavily into surreal imagery, drenched in red tones and symbolism. Chris Robinson described the track’s meaning, saying, “‘Profane Prophecy’ is about the devil you know, the devil you never knew, the devil inside of me and devil inside of you,” adding, “The mischief and madness in the beautiful expression that is rock n roll… and you can dance to it.”

A Pound of Feathers was recorded in Nashville with producer Jay Joyce, who also worked on the band’s Grammy-nominated 2024 release Happiness Bastards. According to Chris, the album came together quickly, capturing momentum and instinct in just over a week. Rich Robinson echoed that sentiment, calling the project transformative and rooted in rediscovering the band’s core creative spark.

In addition to “Profane Prophecy,” the band has also released “Pharmacy Chronicles” ahead of the album’s arrival. Stream those tracks: HERE.  Following the album release, The Black Crowes will head to Australia and Japan for Pacific Rim tour dates in April, play select European festivals in early summer, and later join Guns N’ Roses for four dates on their 2026 world tour.
