Navraj Singh Goraya aka stage name Nav (stylized as NAV) Hip hop recording artist/record producer from Rexdale^ Ontario^ Canada. San Francisco^ CA/USA - 3/31/18

When NAV and Young Thug join forces, the result is usually a sure thing. Over the years, the Toronto hitmaker and the Atlanta trailblazer have delivered standout collaborations including “No Debate,” “Repercussions,” “Tussin,” “Boy Back,” and “Spend It.” Now after more than five years, the duo is back with a new single, “Trimski.”

The single arrives nearly a year after NAV’s last full-length release, OMW2 REXDALE.  The upbeat track finds both artists in familiar form, trading confident verses about their success, expensive tastes, and romantic exploits. The title cleverly fuses cultures—“trim,” a slang term commonly associated with Atlanta, meets the “-ski” suffix often heard in Toronto lingo—bridging their respective hometown styles in a playful nod to both cities.

Produced by Ty Gotem, Elementry, and Rel, with additional work from Rodrigo Barahona and co-writing from Frost, “Trimski” continues a partnership that stretches back to the Perfect Timing era, when Young Thug was among the first high-profile artists to publicly support NAV early in his career. Their creative bond later extended to records like “Repercussions,” featured on NAV’s 2020 project Emergency Tsunami.
