Tems announced the impending release of her debut album, ‘Born In the Wild’, writing on social media: “BORN IN THE WILD. The Album. May 2024🕊”

The Nigerian-born star has gained a global following thanks to hits such as ‘Essence’ with Wizkid, as well as her Future and Drake collaboration ‘Wait For U,’ and the GRAMMY Award winning ‘Lift Me Up’, written for Rihanna. The news of her debut album was announced by the singer in the form of a cinematic trailer set in her hometown of Lagos, Nigeria, which you can check out: here.

The Source reported that Tems has been teasing fans with glimpses her upcoming LP, releasing two new songs, “Me & U” and “Not An Angel,” before the album launch. “Me & U” has already racked up over 45 million streams= dominating the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart for weeks.

Born In the Wild marks Tems first full-length release, following her two EPs: 2020’s For Broken Ears and 2021’s If Orange Was a Place.
