Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson will be embarking on his first solo North American tour in nearly 30 years. The last time Dickinson toured North America as a solo artist was in 1997 — two years prior to him re-joining Iron Maiden.

The late summer/early fall outing kicks-off August 22nd in Anaheim, California, and run through October 5th in Los Angeles. Dickinson will also make festival stops at Rocklahoma (August 31st) and Louder Than Life (September 21st), backed by his revamped solo band that includes Philip Naslund and Chris DeClercq on guitar, Dave Moreno on drums, Mistheria on keyboards, and Tanya O’Callaghan on bass.

The tour will serve as support of the Dickinson’s latest solo LP, The Mandrake Project, the long-awaited follow-up to 2005’s Tyranny of Souls. Dickinson said via a press release: “We are thrilled to be able to take The Mandrake Project out for a proper tour of North America. Last year we did a couple of sold-out US West Coast dates before heading to South America and the response was just incredible. This time we will add ‘Shadow of the Gods’ to the setlist for this incredible band to perform plus a few other gems so we are really looking forward to seeing our fans again all over the country and for a couple of shows up in Canada.”  For more information, head to The Mandrake Projectwebsite.
