Cardi B arrives to Cloud Deli in Washington Heights^ Manhattan to promote her new album titled "I am the Drama". Washington Heights^ NY: September 13th. 2025

Cardi B is making history with her platinum-selling sophomore album, Am I The Drama?

Am I The Drama? debuted at No. 1, making her the first female rapper in history to debut her first two albums at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, following her debut album ‘Invasion of Privacy.’  Cardi’s achievement also marks the bbiggest week for an R&B/hip-hop album by a female in 2025.

Am I The Drama? has earned 200,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Sept. 25 (per Luminate), and also debuted at #1 on Top Streaming Albums with 110,000 SEA units and atop the Top Album Sales chart with 88,000 album sales.

Cardi has also dropped extended versions of the album: the Am I the Drama? (Bonus Edition) and Am I The Drama? (ErrTime Edition) features additional tracks including “Don’t Do Too Much,” and “ErrTime” featuring Latto. In addition, Cardi released the ‘Bardi Gang Edition’ of Am I The Drama? exclusively on her website on Thursday, September 25th, available for purchase one-day-only. That special edition revisited fan-favorite songs from Cardi’s music catalog, including a bonus track, “Dear Bardi Gang.”

Cardi posted on Instagram to thank her fans alongside a behind-the-scenes video, writing: “Thank you sooo much everybody that supported my album!! Two weeks ago the album was projected to do 115k off of ‘Outside’ and ‘Imaginary Players’.. I didn’t know what the outcome was gonna be. I didn’t put out an album in 7 years and haven’t put out as much music in the last year but we just surpassed all that expectation. Thank you to everyone who gave the album a listen, did a video to the songs and everything!! You don’t know the confidence and boost you gave me in my music to keep pushing. I can’t wait to see you guys on tour. Tonight we celebrate!!! I can’t pop no champagne… but maybe I can open up some cranberry juice or something!”
