Demi Lovato has canceled five dates on her upcoming It’s Not That Deep Tour due to undisclosed health issues, delaying the launch of the tour by nearly a week.
A statement from Lovato read: “I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can. While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible. To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour. Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Denver – I am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you on this tour and l am so sorry to those who planned to be there. Orlando – we are moving your show to April 13th and will kick off there. I am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me! Thank you for your support always. I love you and I cannot wait to see you soon.”
The 23-city tour – marking Lovato’s first major headlining run in three years – was scheduled to kick-off on April 8 at Charlotte, NC’s Spectrum Center, but will now begin on April 13th in Orlando (which was originally scheduled for April 10th). The tour is scheduled to make stops at New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum as well as shows in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Toronto, Boston, Columbus, Ohio, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas and Austin before winding down on May 25 at the Toyota Center in Houston. The trek will support Demi’s latest album, It’s Not That Deep, which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance Albums chart.
Fans who purchased your tickets for one of the canceled shows through TICKETMASTER or AXS will receive refunds automatically. Those who purchased from a third-party reseller should reach out to that seller. All previously purchased tickets for Orlando will be honored for the new date..
