Sandra Bullock arrives for 'The Lost City' Los Angeles Premiere on March 21^ 2022 in West Hollywood^ CA

Practical Magic 2 is officially on the way, with Warner Bros. releasing a teaser trailer that reunites Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as the spellbinding Owens sisters.

A press description teases a return to a world filled with “moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic,” as the sisters confront a lingering curse that could finally tear their family apart.

The sequel continues the story introduced in the 1998 cult favorite, adapted from Alice Hoffman’s novel. Bullock returns as Sally Owens, alongside Kidman’s Gillian, two sisters bound by both magic and a devastating family curse that dooms the men they love. The teaser opens with Sally narrating, “I’m sure you’ve heard of the Owens family..the ones from Massachusetts.. the ones their neighbors whisper are witches.” Soon after, she bluntly states, “Yeah, everyone we love dies,” while Gillian follows with a darkly humorous addition: “A really horrible death. It’s not great for the Tinder bio.”

Despite the sisters’ efforts in the original film to break that curse, the new footage suggests their troubles may not be over. This time, they appear to embark on a magical journey—visiting eerie locations like an abandoned castle—in hopes of helping a new character played by Lee Pace and possibly putting their family’s fate to rest for good. Returning cast members include Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest as the eccentric aunts Frances and Jet. A new generation joins the story as Joey King and Maisie Williams portray Sally’s daughters, with additional newcomers including Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod.

Directed by Susanne Bier, who previously worked with both leading ladies, the film promises a mix of romance, danger, and supernatural intrigue.

Practical Magic 2 arrives in theaters on September 11; see the trailer: HERE.
